A winter weather advisory goes into effect Tuesday afternoon as a system brings a quick shot of snow and a wintry mix to much of the state.>>Download the WMUR app>> Weather AdvisoriesSnow will start in the mid- to late morning hours and will increase in intensity around midday before changing over to rain from south to north. The rain snow line will move quickly and will possibly arrive in the Lakes Region by the evening commute.>> Closings & CancellationsAccumulation will be highest in the White Mountains where 6-10 inches of snow is possible. The changeover will limit accumulation in other areas. Manchester to the coast could see a coating to 2 inches. 2-4 inches are possible between Manchester and Concord and through the Monadnock region. The rest of the state could see 3-6 inches. Travel looks very tricky from midday into the mid-afternoon in many areas, especially north and west of Manchester. The evening commute should be okay and just wet in southern areas but slippery in central and northern NH. The system pulls away later Tuesday evening and will be followed by an extended period of clear skies.
