Boulder food-tax rebate application period to begin March 1

The application period for Boulder’s food-tax rebates, which are meant to help compensate residents with lower incomes, begins March 1.

The rebates are $85 for individuals and $260 for families.

Applicants must meet financial eligibility guidelines and have been residents of Boulder throughout 2018. Each applicant must also have been 62 years or older throughout 2018; have a disability; or have a family with children under 18 years of age.

Applications can be picked up in person at the West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave., or accessed online at boulderseniorservices.com. Applications will be available March 1 and are due in person by June 28 or postmarked by June 30.
